JOB DESCRIPTION

 

SUMMARY

 

The Sales/Business Developer Manager is responsible for acquiring new commercial landscape maintenance customers, managing client relationships, and selling additional services.  The ideal candidate is a performance driven sales professional who can create and apply effective sales strategies.  The candidate should have commercial landscape maintenance and property management experience with existing property manager and HOA relationships.  This position is well suited for the self-driven outside sales professional, who enjoys working autonomously in the field, takes ownership of their position and success.  This position provides an opportunity to work with a smaller well-established commercial landscape company whose longstanding reputation was built on quality of work and dependable performance.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

​

  • Full-time outside sales/business development

  • Self-driven with ability to perform working autonomously outside of office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.

  • Ability to develop strong client and employee relations.

  • 3 years of experience in Landscape Maintenance Sales or Property Management.

  • Experienced with Property Management, HOAs,

  • Established Property Management and HOA relationships

  • Hands on approach to tasks management and customer interaction.

  • Strong time management, organizational skills and analytical skills.

  • Ability to meet critical deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

​

  • Reports directly to the Company Owner

  • Manage and update all Sales reports, Sales Summary and Contract Status Logs.

  • Meet/exceed targeted goals

  • Assist with development of Client Data Base (Combined Sales/Op’s/Estimating Contacts).

  • Manage Client Logs.

  • Complete and process Client Pre-Qualification for submission.

  • Prepare and maintain updates (BAC) Bids-Awards-Contract sheets for all Clients.

  • Bid Bonds – Coordinate and obtain bid bonds, performance and payment bonds, Manage the bond log.

  • Manage project archiving.

  • Fulfilling “requested by client”, such as filling in contact data, sending W-9s, etc.

  • Insurance – compiling necessary data and requesting (COI) Certificate of Insurance.

  • Manage fully executed contracts report.

  • Coordinate all marketing material

  • Bid and Proposal management

 

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

​

Graduation from high school or GED required.

Bachelor degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
