JOB DESCRIPTION

 

SUMMARY                                                                                          

 

The Account Manager is the primary customer service liaison for the company.  In many ways they are the face of the company and management.  They build and sustain meaningful long-term client relationships with a focus on retention, ancillary sales and oversight of field operations.  The Account Manager works closely with both the Branch Manager and production team to ensure the quality and service expectations of the client are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES

​

  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships through communication and service

  • Manage multiple landscape maintenance accounts, efficiently coordinate labor, equipment, materials and company resources to achieve company core values

  • Promote a safe environment by displaying, practicing, and enforcing the safety of the client’s job site per company standards and OSHA regulations

  • Effectively and expeditiously produce proposals for regular and extra work,  as well as process work orders on all landscape maintenance accounts customers

  • Communicate company goals, policies and procedures regarding Landscape Maintenance to workforce team members

  • Manage accounts to ensure client renewals and a high retention rate

  • Develop and maintain scheduled site walkthroughs with clients to ensure quality and expectations are met

  • Proactively present site enhancement ideas and opportunities to sell ancillary services

  • Network with existing clients to earn referrals and develop new industry relationships

 

REQUIREMENTS

​

  • 3+ years experience managing landscape maintenance contracts

  • Excellent client relations with a service-minded work ethic

  • Proactive communication skills: verbal, email and written

  • Lead, build and manage teams, work collaboratively within a team environment

  • Proactive ability to anticipate, recognize, and solve problems

  • Understanding of horticulture, plant care, irrigation and chemicals

  • Excellent Time Management Skills 

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Possess a strong drive for success

  • Valid California Driver’s License and be insurable with company’s insurance company

 

DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS

​

  • IA Water Auditor Certification

  • ISA Certified Arborist

  • Applicable landscape Industry Certifications
