JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
The Account Manager is the primary customer service liaison for the company. In many ways they are the face of the company and management. They build and sustain meaningful long-term client relationships with a focus on retention, ancillary sales and oversight of field operations. The Account Manager works closely with both the Branch Manager and production team to ensure the quality and service expectations of the client are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain long-term client relationships through communication and service

Effectively manage accounts to ensure client renewals and a high retention rate
-
Develop and maintain scheduled site walkthroughs with clients to ensure quality and expectations are met

Proactively present site enhancement ideas and opportunities to sell ancillary services

Network with existing clients to earn referrals and develop new industry relationships
-
Manage multiple accounts to achieve quality, retention, growth and profitability objectives

Work cooperatively with Branch Manager/Team to ensure client’s needs are consistently met

Create client proposals, contracts, recommendations, and estimates to meet client’s objectives
-
Promote a safe environment for employees, customers, and general public
-
Create and pursue networking opportunities: develop new relationships and sales opportunities
REQUIREMENTS

2 or 4 year college degree in related field and/or 2-3 years landscape/horticulture experience
-
3+ years customer service, sales and communication experience or combined
-
Excellent Client Relations, a people person, conversationalist, service-minded work ethic

Proactive communication skills: verbal, email and written
-
Lead, build and manage teams, work collaboratively within a team environment
-
Proactive ability to anticipate, recognize, and solve problems
-
Understanding of horticulture, plant care, irrigation and chemicals

Excellent Time Management Skills

Proficient computer skills
